Hello, my name is Charlotte and I’m passionate about pastimes! I’m rarely found without my craft box and I’m always looking for new hobbies to try out. I’m a big believer in everyone’s need for me-time. I made this blog to talk about all of my projects, from quirky crafts that I really enjoyed to overly-expensive activities you should avoid at all costs.

A few years ago I worked with a company in London that had me inundated with boring desk-based tasks day after day. The 9-5 grind really wore me thin, and I couldn’t find any time for fun around my busy schedule of trying to juggle family around making a living.

After 18 months i decided it was time for a change, and I decided to focus my life on the things that matter most. I moved home, hoping to get away from the constant movement of living in the capital city. That’s when I discovered a love of hobbies. Though London will always have a special place in my heart, living in a quieter suburb and commuting to work gave me some distance from my career and made it easier to wind down.

Now I live and work in Manchester. Living in a city that’s brimming with culture both old and new gives me plenty of inspiration to try out new things. I love to explore the popular restaurants and bars in the city centre, as well as uncovering some of the tucked away hidden gems of the suburbs.

When I get enough time away from work I try to take city breaks around England, especially to countryside towns where I can gather natural materials for crafty projects.

When I’m not out and about discovering my beautiful city, I’m home cooking up quirky recipes, knitting, gardening, painting, sketching and everything in between. Finding creative outlets allows me to de-stress and express myself.

On my journey I’ve learned that there’s no shame in finding time to enjoy yourself – it’s what life is all about and we all ought to sat time aside for happiness.

The internet is a haven for amazing arts and crafts ideas, and I aim to try them all!

I have two lovely little ones running around the house and I try to incorporate them into my crafty projects as much as possible. Getting the kids involved in creative tasks keeps them occupied and stimulates their minds, so I love to let them go wild with crayons and glitter glue whenever they’re home from school. My other parent friends think I’m crazy for letting them loose with messy materials, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep the cream carpets in tact.

I hope you enjoy my top tips and tricks to leading a fun-filled life!
